EXPERIENCE:
My life has truly come full circle and I believe that I am where I am supposed to be now.  I was a competitive swimmer all through high school and I was a very active child and teenager, trying any activity I could.  From lacrosse to soccer and t-ball to track and field, I loved to move!  I wish I could say that I spent my whole life like that, but unfortunately as an adult I began moving less and eating more.  I had tried several different weight loss programs but nothing really clicked until I signed myself up for a program through the Peachtree City Recreation Department called Runhers.  I hadn’t run since I was in Elementary School but I’d been inspired by a good friend and I was ready to get active.  That was the day that changed my life.  Since that first class, I have gained a new passion for active, healthy living, lost more than 50 pounds and have helped many friends begin their journey live a healthy, active life.  I am back to loving to move again.

FITNESS ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Completed a 70.3 Half Ironman Distance Triathlon
Completed an Olympic Distance and Several Sprint Distance Triathlons (including a first place and second place in my Age Group)
Completed a Full Marathon
Completed several half marathons, 15k’s, 10k’s and 5k’s

FITNESS PHILOSOPHY:
Avoid using the words “just” and “only” when referring to your accomplishments, like “just running a 5k” or “only doing push-ups from my knees” .  It is so easy to compare your journey to others but be proud of you and where you came from.  Everyone has to start somewhere.  Look back just long enough to see where you began than continue moving forward to striving to be a better you tomorrow than you were today.

TYPICAL TRAINING WEEK FOR ME:
My typical training week includes 3 days of Kettlebell Training, 3 days of running and finding time to swim, bike, and practice yoga and pilates.  I also stretch every night before bed.

FAVOURITE MOVIE:
I have a lot of favourites, but if I had to choose, I’d say Good Will Hunting.

FAVOURITE ADVOCARE PRODUCTS:
Spark, I can’t live without Spark!  Mandarin Orange is my favourite.  I also am partial to Catalyst, Rehydrate and Nighttime Recovery.
